RADAR's John Bires recorded the fundraiser to support the L.A. Free Clinic Sunday night at the Ice House in Pasadena. Louis Ashamallah hosted the event which also featured two opening acts. Bires used a Shure SM58 for the main talent mic and two Sennheiser 418 shotgun mics recording in M/S mode. Recording mid and sides gave Bires a signal he could matrix into stereo or mono and sides. The entire show was recorded on a Zaxcom Deva V recording five channels of audio at 24bit 48k for a CD to be released at 16bit 44.1k. The CD will be available for purchase in July.
